Investing in greenfield PPP/renewable energy

This company is a large global multi sector conglomerate with a current market capitalisation of over AUD$100bn.  Its infrastructure investment division acts as international originator, active investor and manager of infrastructure projects.

The infrastructure investment division is focused on major transport, water projects awarded under governmental public-private partnership (PPP) programmes, and renewable energy projects (particularly waste to energy), across a range of international markets including the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific and North America.  The hub for the Asia Pacific team regionally is Sydney where all team members (team of 10) are currently based.  

There is a need for an Investment Director to be based in Sydney.

Responsibilities include:

Lead strategic identification and implementation of new investment opportunities

Independently execute tasks while managing and mentoring all team members (10 staff)

Lead the investment process through to implementation and integration

Perform effective due diligence on identified investment opportunities

Perform management of the existing investments and projects including project board director role

Contribute to company's strategic direction and identify opportunities for business improvement

Assist the company and its shareholder in making strategic business investments in global infrastructure projects

For this role we are likely seeking circa 12+ years of experience within corporate finance/greenfield financial advisory, investment banking, greenfield infrastructure investing or a greenfield infrastructure lawyer.
