APRA is seeking an experienced life insurance practitioner to join the Governance, Operational and Insurance Risk branch.

APRA is seeking an experienced life insurance practitioner to join its Insurance Risk team within the Governance, Operational and Insurance Risk branch of the Risk and Data Analytics Division.

This is an exciting opportunity in a diverse role where you will gain a unique perspective across the life insurance industry as you provide specialist advice and apply your skill and experience to APRA’s supervision functions.

You will collaborate with a wide range of teams across APRA, along with industry stakeholders and have an opportunity to be involved in the assessment of key insurance risk industry practices, including on-site and off-site technical reviews.

This is role would suit an existing industry professional with extensive life insurance experience, willing to take on a new challenge and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

There is opportunity for flexible working arrangements, including the potential for part-time/job sharing arrangements.

About you:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the life insurance sector and ideally have had exposure to product development, pricing, and/or reinsurance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with excellent organisational, self and priority management skills. Actuarial qualifications would be well regarded, but are not essential for the role.
