APRA is seeking a Manager to lead the Business Processes and Solutions team within our recently formed Risk and Data Analytics Division.

The Manager will lead a team responsible for the ongoing delivery of business process solutions in our data collection, reporting and publication systems and will play a key role in managing the development, promotion and implementation of the processes and solutions that support data users, along with identifying improvements in business processes.

Our BPS team enables the effective delivery of a range of internal projects and publications, and as such the Manager, Business Processes and Solutions plays an integral role in ensuring our systems and infrastructure support business continuity. APRA is undertaking a transformation program with respect to its data collection, reporting and publication and this role will have the opportunity to be engaged in the transition of APRA’s data processes to a future state.

The Manager will build and lead a high-performing team, establishing priorities and planning activities in order to meet the strategic objectives for the team. You will engage with a number of internal teams (particularly IT and our risk and supervision teams), taking a partnering approach and providing expert advice to key stakeholders.

To be successful you will be proficient in SAS and SAS Enterprise Guide, possess highly-developed business analysis skills, written and oral communications skills, have a good understanding of database structures, as well as experience reviewing technical functional specifications and evaluating IT solutions and recommendations. Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation is also vital. Experience with SQL, Excel VBA and some knowledge of Extensible Business Reporting Language would be an advantage.

Within APRA the Data Analytics team leads the way by providing reporting and forward looking analytics to help drive well-informed supervision and strategic decisions. In order to deliver this the team collects and distributes data both internally within APRA and externally to the other agencies and the industry.
