The Group Financial Reporting & Analysis (FR&A) team provides financial support to the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Board. The team's areas of focus include:
  • Planning and forecasting - ownership of the Group's Planning & Forecasting process, strategic and ad-hoc analysis
  • Performance reporting - performance analysis and monthly management reporting for the Group
  • Decision support - strategic projects, insight development and ad-hoc analysis
  • Accounting policy and advice - specialist accounting advice on transactions and maintenance of accounting policy

Do work that matters

Due to the profile of the deliverables within the team the role provides exposure to the EGM Group Finance and the Group CFO, and requires constant liaison with all teams within FR&A as well as BU Finance, Group Strategy, Treasury, Risk etc.

Business outcomes
  • In line with the CFO's key priorities, this role will have a specific focus on driving analysis of the impact of the low interest rate environment, costs, risk-adjusted returns and efficient use of capital
  • Help manage the Group's planning and forecasting processes and deliverables, with a mandate for continuous improvement (focused on accuracy, timeliness and functionality)
  • Help lead the thinking on Forecasting Transformation across the Group
  • Deliver scenario analysis and central forecasting capabilities for the Group's financial outlook and in response to priorities agreed with the Deputy CFO and CFO
  • Articulate key business drivers, provide critical insights to drive debate, and deliver value-add analysis of all Group businesses for the Executive Committee and Board
  • Help set thoughtful financial targets for all Group businesses

  • Effective leadership and collaboration across Finance and Business stakeholders to drive business outcomes and become a trusted advisor
  • Help drive team goals and priorities including a strong and vibrant team culture

  • CA/CPA/CFA qualified
  • High degree of commercial acumen
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong presentation and communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional attention to details
  • Advanced Excel / modelling skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Banking experience is highly desirable
