Harvey Nash are working with a multi-award winning  fintech organisation who  need to recruit an Operations Engineer for their Sydney office!  

This is an ideal time to join this growing organisation as they continue to grow in the APAC region.  Having won new customers (majority of the large banks in the region) this Fintech business need an Operations Engineer to manage the availability and scalability of their internal core application deployments.   

The Role: 

As the first person into this role for the business, you'll be expected to:  

  • Manage the availability and performance of internal deployments as well as within partner environments.  
  • Work alongside the DevOps team to provide guidance into their CI/CD pipeline and understand requirements for the deployment framework.  
  • Maintain tasks on IIS Web Applications, MSSQL / Oracle Database, Java Services and Elasticsearch.  
  • Be an expert on operational environments and provide guidance to the customer support team when dealing with new client deployments.  
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and artefacts 
  • Help install products into test and then client environments.  

You, as the ideal person for the role, will have:  

Technical skills:  

  • 1-2 years' experience in service operations  
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server Administration (with a focus on IIS).  
  • Good scripting skills (Ideally in PowerShell)  
  • Knowledge of deployment and administration of ASP.NET web Apps  

Soft Skills: 

  • Problem solving skills  
  • Strong written & Verbal communication skills  
  • Proactive and can work independently and as part of a team
