Macro Strategic Insight supports APRA's core functions through the provision of forward-looking analytics and insights, driving risk-based supervisory judgements and strategic decisions. As part of the team you will drive delivery of a program of work relating to APRA's stress testing activities across the ADI and insurance sectors.

APRA is seeking a Principal Analyst to join our Stress Testing team within the Macro Strategic Insights branch of the Cross-industry Insights & Data division.

Macro Strategic Insight supports APRA's core functions through the provision of forward-looking analytics and insights, driving risk-based supervisory judgements and strategic decisions.

As part of the team you will drive delivery of a program of work relating to APRA's stress testing activities across the ADI and insurance sectors. In this role you will work alongside key risk specialists in areas such as Credit, Market, Liquidity and Operational Risk as well as working in conjunction with other regulators in Australia and New Zealand.

You will be working within the broader Macro Strategic Insights team responsible for analysing, assessing and monitoring risks and key trends in the macroeconomic environment. This includes working closely with other agencies to form views on risks relevant to APRA's role.

You will have a broad range of key stakeholders including a number of internal teams (particularly our risk and supervision teams) and external stakeholders including other agencies in Australia and abroad.

The successful candidate will have experience in stress testing or financial modelling and a background in analytical areas such as finance, economics, actuarial studies or mathematics. You will have high quality written and verbal communication, and strong problem solving ability. Excellent project and priority management skills are essential.
