Description

The project manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specified projects ensuring consistency with Citi project management governance.
The project manager will work within the Project Management Office and will work on a range of projects, primarily Operations (Core Operations, Citiphone, and Credit Ops) in nature. They will work with Subject Matter Experts within each of the operations areas to build and track the tasks for each project stream. They will assign tasks and agree to timetables for achieving goals. They also set review dates to ensure that streams remain on target
The project manager is responsible for:
  • The planning and implementation of project
  • Facilitation of the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables with relevant stakeholders
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Planning of the Project and proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Managing communications with all stakeholders
  • Managing risks to successful outcome
  • Working with the business project leads on their operational readiness to transition to the new business as usual position
  • Provide regular progress reports for each project


Qualifications

The Project manager should:
  • Have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a Proactive self-starter who can meet the demands of this hands-on role
  • Have the ability to work successfully with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Have the ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
  • Have a good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling large projects of work involving numerous concurrent stream
