Project Manager

Our Client: Our client is a large government agency who is currently undergoing an IT transformation to modernise and evolve its IT landscape.

Required Capabilities
  • Stakeholder management: proactively develops and facilitates value adding business relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Project planning: establishes and executes robust plans for projects together with clear resource and financial plans, and well-articulated and managed dependencies and risks.
  • Project control and delivery: manages accurate and up-to-date project management records, constantly monitors project progress and takes proactive steps to ensure that projects deliver on time, on cost and to the required quality.
  • Resource management: actively plans and engages with key resource managers, complying with resource allocation processes.
  • Budget management: establishes and rigorously manages budget forecasts and schedules for each project, administering the day to day budget in line with finance and procurement standards.
  • People management: leads a range of project and business resources to deliver the overall project; builds a sense of common purpose and a clear focus on delivery. Actively role models team cultural values.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience in Cloud Enablement and Cloud Management Platform implementations.
  • Experience in rehosting applications from on premise servers to cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ability in various cloud migration related activities including:
    - Proof of Concept for re-platforming
    - Application reconfiguration
    - End to end regression Testing
    - Target infrastructure design & build
    - Data Migration
    - Decommission of legacy infrastructure
  • Experience in the management of a workforce of internal staff, contractors and multiple vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage dependencies and completing priorities across parallel streams of work with multiple vendors
  • Proven ability to manage scope and control change within a dynamic business and project environment
