Sales Rep/Account Manager
Perm role based in CBD|WFH totally flexible |up to $75k base| open to experience| education sector

Partnering with students, teachers/lecturers and Universities across Australia to provide innovative learning solutions, combining proven content with emerging digital technologies to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Your new role
You will contribute to the overall revenue of the division, grow the market share and revenue for both print and digital products by winning new take-away business, and increasing lecturer and student take-up of our print and digital content. Your contribution to the team includes:
  • Manage and develop an assigned territory of specific customers and accounts which includes daily sales calls activity, personal and team financial targets for print and digital products, new adoptions reported, number of adoptions retained, closing rate of opportunities and proactively seeking orders from booksellers and influencing buying decisions
  • Maximise sales of the products and services in the Higher Education market in Australia
  • Recognise opportunity from changes in economic conditions, competitor activity, market or educational trends, and demographics
  • Manage and co-ordinate tender processes and contracts where applicable
  • Liaise with key stakeholders within the Higher Education market to identify new business opportunities and grow the market share by developing relationships, networking and fact finding to drive the achievement of targets and objectives
  • Make suggestions on strategies and changes to develop business in assigned territory
  • Maintain accuracy in company records such as ensuring all calls are logged in SalesForce.com, opportunities are tracked with correct details and customers' details are accurately captured
What you'll need to succeed
  • Sound understanding of solution-selling
  • Demonstrated passion for technology
  • Prior experience in the publishing industry is a plus but not essential
  • Ability to influence key decision makers such as academics and other institutional staff in relation to the use of digital learning technology within their organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication skills
  • Also open to candidates from an educational background that are open to a career move
