How will I help?


In this new opportunity you will be responsible for the delivery of core predictive analysis, modelling and model performance activities for Westpac Group portfolios in the areas of credit capital, provisions (IFRS-9), as well as Developing statistical models to establish and maintain 'best practice' risk management and automated credit decisioning processes, including credit scoring models, Probability of Default, Loss Given Default and Exposure at Default.

Accountable for ensuring core credit models are maintained to a high standard to facilitate compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, governance frameworks and policies and proactively collaborate and communicate with managers to ensure our projects, business-as-usual activities, governance framework and compliance obligations are conducted in a coordinated manner

What do I need?


Along with Tertiary qualifications (Maths/Statistics/Quantitative/Business or other relevant degree) or equivalent business experience, we are looking for:
  • One year or more experience within an analytical team or equivalent
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced programming skills in SAS, Python, SQL, R, Matlab, or similar
  • Excel with VBA, Word and PowerPoint
  • Sound statistical knowledge
  • Sound data management expertise
