Your New RoleAs a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing complex datasets to support remediation activities, customer impact assessments, and regulatory obligations. Leveraging your strong SQL and Teradata capability, you will develop and validate remediation logic, investigate data issues, perform reconciliations, and provide analytical insights that drive key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimise, and maintain complex SQL and Teradata scripts for remediation analysis.
- Identify impacted customer cohorts and apply remediation rules to large datasets.
- Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.
- Support compensation calculations and customer impact assessments.
- Investigate data anomalies and perform root cause analysis.
- Produce accurate reporting and documentation to support governance and audit requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior business stakeholders.
- Support regulatory and compliance-driven initiatives within a highly regulated environment.
- Strong commercial experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst.
- Advanced SQL expertise.
- Hands-on Teradata experience.
- Proven experience delivering customer remediation, regulatory remediation, or compensation programs.
- Previous experience within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Wealth Management, or Superannuation.
- Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and data quality management.
- Experience working with large and complex enterprise datasets.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience supporting ASIC, APRA, or compliance-related initiatives.
- Exposure to SAS, Power BI, Databricks, Hive, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Knowledge of remediation methodologies, cohort identification, and remediation calculations.
