Senior Risk Associate Portfolio Governance (12 Month Contract)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Governance, you will play a key role in maximising the effectiveness and efficiency of the team, as well as increasing engagement with Line 1 and 2 teams.

This position is for 12 months maternity cover.

Business & Private Banking Risk Management (BPB RM) forms part of the Group Risk Management division, and specifically, it provides the Business & Private Banking (BPB) team with specialist risk services and advice.

In any given week you will
  • Contribute to the management of all activities for Credit Risk teams within BPB Risk related to regulator engagements, including managing BPB and BPB Risk stakeholders, and preparing, coordinating and sourcing of all relevant information and presentations
  • Assist in the preparation of General Managers for participation in various senior stakeholder, client and regulator engagements
  • Work with the leaders on various projects, as required, including management of one-off issues on behalf of the General Managers, and representing BPB Risk in projects
  • Developing strategic communications and reporting for all General Managers, including content of LT speeches/talking points and drafting of correspondence to customers/ other stakeholders
  • Support General Managers to complete action items from various Risk Governance forums, facilitating meetings or resolving questions that require follow-up
  • Conduct review and analysis as scheduled i.e., BPB Risk PCAA review, annual attestations
  • Set up and actively manage frameworks and processes for collaboration, innovation, risk and compliance, and others, with adequate measurement and reporting
  • Support General Managers to complete action items from various Risk Governance forums, facilitating meetings or resolving questions that require follow-up
