Senior Specialist, Risk Partnering

Multiple Senior Specialist, Risk Partnering Roles. Portfolios include:

The Role
As a Senior Specialist you will drive connections and collaboration throughout the business to ensure risk-informed, insightful and reliable conclusions are made, by bringing analytical thinking and business acumen to provide challenge and oversight within the business unit with a risk lens.
These roles facilitate the maturing of risk management within the business unit/s they support and delivery of risk initiatives from specialist risk functions into the business. The role is the key contact for the business unit in relation to governance, risk and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities
• Partner and advise business unit leaders and risk champions on Governance, Risk &
Compliance (GRC) matters in the context of the execution of the business plan and the
achievement of strategic initiatives, including the use of risk information to support
business decisions
• Assist in prioritisation of CRO initiatives and engagement of Line 1 management in
sequencing and execution
• Facilitate the roll-out and implementation of group level risk frameworks, policies and
procedures within specific portfolios/business units (BU)
• Coach, mentor, guide and provide insight and challenge on GRC matters to business units,
including facilitation and creation of forums, workshops and knowledge support
• Assist Line 1 management and provide oversight and challenge with the identification,
reporting and remediation of systemic and contagion risks
• Provide advice in respect of escalate material issues, including materiality assessment of
outsourcing and strategic partner risks
• Conduct GRC maturity assessments across all risk classes for the business unit/s and
critically analyse and provide recommendations to enhance GRC maturity
• First point of contact for managing and co-ordinating advisory response for the BU's
supported and where necessary engage SME's across CRO for delivery
• Input and review into risk reporting as required, including the development of KRI's
• Oversight and challenge of the development and maintenance of risk profiles and
monitoring of progress of remediation actions and governance of profile related activity,
including support for advice of actions/remediation strategies
• Assist in provision of data for Regulatory or other targeted reviews (e.g. APRA, ASIC, Audit)
• Contribute to the development, monitoring and remediation of BSC measure and RAS
• Development of scenarios for analysis the deepen understanding of business unit risk

Skills & Experience
• Undergraduate degree (Postgraduate/Masters' degrees desire) or other qualifications to
perform the role at a fully competent level in addition to 5-10 years' business-related
• Proven experience in at least one of the following portfolios: Pricing/Remediation, People, Performance and Reputation or CFO.
• Strategic mindset; financial and business acumen; customer focus; cultivates innovation;
comfortable to work with ambiguity
• The ability to engage broadly and communicate effectively with a broad range of
stakeholders; operates with a collaborative and outcome focused mindset
