About the Role:

This role would be ideal for an experienced Software Lead or a Tech Lead who can bring in wealth of both hands on coding and people management skills, working in Payments domain. Reporting into the Technical Manager, the role will focus on delivery of software using cutting edge technology, new working practices across staff from multiple suppliers in multiple geographies. Alongside in-house development, a big part of the role will also involve working with product suppliers, understanding their technologies in depth, strategizing and improving their integration with CBA.

You will be part of an innovative team of software engineers who thrive to achieve milestones from time to time, working across multiple applications and solutions within core payments processing. Your role will hold a perfect blend of hands on coding and people management job duties, day in day out!

What skills you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing real time, highly reliable software applications in the Payments domain will be highly mandatory.
  • Strong skills and experience in full stack development, designing, building, coding and deploying highly resilient applications using Java, J2ee, Microservices, REST APIs, Maven, TDD and CI is highly essential.
  • Commendable expertise in leading and managing engineering teams to mentor, train, and coach to provide technical direction about design principles, architectural, strategical and engineering best practices is highly desirable.
  • A passion to drive quality outcomes, collaborating with a 'can-do' attitude working with multiple internal and external teams, while being an exceptional individual contributor would be highly essential.
  • A keen interest to learn new skills, communicating with multiple business stakeholders and non-technical groups to accomplish business goals would be highly desirable.
  • Conceptual knowledge or commercial experience with DevOps engineering, CI/CD pipelines, Cloud based deployment and Docker orchestration will be a big plus but not mandatory for this role.
