The Third Party Governance and Oversight Manager reports into the Head of Risk and Control, within the (Wealth & Personal Banking) COO function. The role is responsible for oversight of all third party relationships across WPB, ensuring robust and consistent management of third party risk (from supplier risk management to supplier performance management) and act as the conduit between the WPB business and relevant risk stewards as the business Third Party Risk Officer (TPRO).
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Be the responsible Third Party Risk Officer (TPRO) for the business, liaising closely with third party engagement managers (TPEMs), and Line 2 risk stewards and drive remediation of gaps where required
• Oversee the day to day functions supporting third party management across WPB - including external suppliers and internal third parties (Group Service Centres) from the start and throughout the contract/engagement lifecycle
• Interpret the impact of third party changes against regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures and incorporate change to ensure regulatory compliance
• Support Senior Management to ensure responsibilities under the banking executive accountability regime (BEAR) is adhered to on behalf of the Head of WPB
• Support in executing the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework for all third party types across WPB
• Responsible in overseeing and monitoring relevant risks & controls related to third party management for WPB
• Define & enhance management information (MI) related to third party management - including our third party landscape and risk profile
• Using MI on Key Performance and Risk Indicators to ensure appropriate oversight and action is taken, as well as reporting key metrics into relevant risk forums
  • Build relationships with 3rd parties across various locations to ensure services provided to WPB satisfy requirements and drive efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, Commerce, Law or a related field preferable
• Relevant risk management experience in financial services
• Sound technical competency in Third Party Oversight including initiatives to achieve better risk and control outcomes
• Strong communication (Written and Verbal) skills required
• Proven leadership, motivational, analytical, planning communications, organisational, problem-solving, project management and large stakeholder management
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast changing environment
• Ability to promote a people focused culture that encourages the use of one's own initiative to own and resolve issues
