Audit Supervisor CAS Transformation & Innovation Team

Audit Supervisor Transformation & Innovation
Open-ended contract, Full Time, Brussels

Your role & work environment
As a Transformation & Innovation (T&I) Auditor, you will conduct and coordinate project related audits within ING Bank globally at the heart of the strategic transformation and innovation of ING Bank.

You will be based in Brussels and you will work in an international team (partly based in Amsterdam, Brussels and Frankfurt) with 400 + staff members active around the world.

Your key responsibilities

  • You provide assurance whether the ING has sufficient (project management) controls in place to ensure that project objectives can be met in terms of time and cost and that the project is delivering on promise.
  • In addition, you will provide assurance whether the project output will result in an adequate control environment of the deliverables (e.g. are all relevant controls in place in the (designed) governance, operational processes and IT environments).
  • You will report your audit findings correctly and systematically in audit reports, including suggestions for improvement and concrete recommendations that you will present to ING Bank management.

We look for
A colleague with a talent for taking it on and making it happen, enthusiasm for helping others to be successful and a knack for always being a step ahead. In other words, you strive to bring fresh ideas to life and embrace challenges in a fast changing and complex environment. You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals. You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems.
As an Audit Supervisor Transformation & Innovation, you will also need in-depth knowledge and experience with modern Project Management techniques. You use your strong analytical skills to identify the areas of focus within our global audit strategy and individual audits.
You are naturally proactive, critical and curious, and you search for missing information on your own initiative. You have strong verbal and written communicative skills and interpersonal capabilities. Therefore, you are experienced to ask the right questions and get the right information, even when you have to overcome resistance.
You are accurate, creative in your solutions and you describe yourself as a team player who is capable of working in international teams, as well as independently when the task at hand requires this.

Furthermore, your background and experience will include:
  • Bachelor-/Master degree in Finance/IT/Business Administration and preferably 4-6 years of experience (complex) programme management
  • Preferably 3 to 4 years' hands-on working experience within an audit function, for instance, with another bank or within a larger audit- or consultancy organisation
  • In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in Project Management techniques (incl. Agile). This also includes strong knowledge base related to key project management controls, like project governance, business case setup and project (financial) performance analysis
  • Working experience within international and complex organisations
  • Team-player with self awareness on strengths- and weaknesses and eagerness to develop yourself and the team
  • Strong ability to deal with complex and challenging business partners and able to apply different communication and influence styles depending on the situation
  • You are willing to travel abroad, depending on assignments
  • You are also fluent in English. It is a strong plus if you have a basic understanding of Dutch.

We offer you
A clear purpose, a unique offer and a range of flexible compensation and other benefits:
  • Personal growth & challenging work with endless opportunities to realise your ambitions
  • An informal, dynamic environment with innovative colleagues supporting your endeavours
  • A progressive and agile way of working, where new ideas are valued ahead of convention

Furthermore, the team is ambitious to be best-in-class in the field of project-, transformation and innovation auditing. Besides having an important business relation, transformation related audits are often IT related and performed in close cooperation with business- and IT Auditors and offer you exposure to the latest (IT) developments within the bank.
