Your role & work environment

You advise, challenge and support the business with respect to the set-up, procedures and measures of the Operational Risk Policy,
You are part of the team ORM Advisory within the Operational and Compliance Risk Department.

Your key responsibilities
Risk Identification and Monitoring
Identify and monitor relevant developments in his or her area of expertise in and outside the organisation and processes this knowledge for the risk policy and procedures.
Challenge the efficiency of existing controls
Provide support to prioritise the risks and perform risk assessments together with the management based on this prioritisation
Business Partner
Act as an indepedent business partner
Act as a point of contact for Operational Risk questions related to his or her expertise
Risk Reporting
Make the risks transparent for the Business

As a Operational Risk Officer you will also need:

  • A Master degree or equivalent through experience
  • At least 4 to 6 years of working experience in a banking environment
  • Thorough knowledge of the organisation structure, processes and activities of the Bank (knowledge of the ORM Framework and iRisk is a plus)
  • Understanding of (the interaction between) different applications in the Tribes
  • Good knowledge of internal rules (compliance, business principles and ethical standards)
  • Good knowledge of English, French and Dutch
  • Very good problem solving, communication and self-organization skills
  • Has a dynamic personality, takes initiative and is flexible
  • Is willing to work in a constantly changing environment
  • Is a team player
