  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision makers
  • Provide guidance and participate in the performance of audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and specialized issues
  • Collaborate to plan objectives and determine an audit strategy that appropriately addresses risk
  • Establish the expectations of the value to be delivered
  • Successfully monitor the engagement team against the budget, and alter if necessary
  • Identify/communicate relevant trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to the client
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the client's industry and marketplace
  • Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team
  • Successfully delegate to all levels of staff
  • Conduct performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and contribute to performance feedback/training
  • Foster teamwork and lead by example
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to participate in advisory-related engagements, as required
  • Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery 
  • Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions  


The successful candidate will have:

  • a bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience
  • a degree in accounting, business or finance
  • deep experience serving clients in the insurance industry
  • extensive and current knowledge of IFRS
  • an active US CPA certification or foreign equivalent (Chartered Accountant or Chartered Certified Accountant)
  • experience participating in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building
  • managerial experience training project teams in a professional services environment
  • experience identifying new business opportunities at existing or potentially new clients
  • excellent project management skills
  • advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • a dedication to teamwork and leadership
  • integrity within a professional environment
