POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Director, Execution, the Principal, Credit Trading, trades on the credit markets, including investment grade, high yield, and loans, in both cash and derivative space. This individual will work very closely with the credit portfolio management team assisting throughout the investment process. The Principal will strive towards continuous improvement of trading techniques by maintaining familiarity with the relevant technology and market structure evolution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Trade in the credit markets based on market analysis and knowledge of market conditions
• Collaborate with credit portfolio management team throughout the investment process
• Help foster a ‘best execution culture’ within the centralized trading model
• Stay abreast of the relevant systems and execution venues within the credit space
• Assist in the development of policies/procedures designed to ensure compliance with all industry/regulatory requirements
• Build close working relationships with trading, IT, Operations, Legal/Compliance and risk staff to ensure appropriate resolution of all issues related to the credit businesses

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors’ degree required, in a related field preferred (e.g.: Financial Economics or other); Masters’ degree an asset.
• Minimum five years experience in the financial industry, ideally in credit trading across both cash and derivatives
• Expertise in the investment grade or high yield credit arena
• Knowledge and experience of Bloomberg, Trace, MarketAxess and other market pricing and valuation tools
• Ability to handle multiple priorities while remaining detail oriented
