Job Description

  • Engage in research on the asset management business and investment strategies with focus on fixed income; conduct analysis on global capital markets and respective investment strategies, products and new initiatives to support overseas institutional sales;
  • Perform research and analysis and summarize findings in English written reports based on existing products and strategies, and support sales meetings to acquire overseas institutional business;
  • Engage in active client education and handholding, on ChinaAMC's key differentiating qualities in a clear and concise manner;
  • Other work as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduating student or recent graduate from a Master's program from top universities in the U.S. or other English-speaking developed countries; Solid understanding of finance and portfolio theories; Strong analytical background and skills;
  • Prior experience at an asset management firm, investment bank, or accounting firm is an asset; Prior experience with quantitative and/or fixed income investments is an asset;
  • Keen interest in the global financial markets and Chinese markets, product development, and cross-border business;
  • Excellent English and Chinese written and verbal communication skills, including ease with public speaking in both languages (presentations, road shows, etc);
  • Highly motivated, logical thinker, attention to detail, and able to work under pressure and competing priorities;
  • Able to travel internationally;
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Uncompromised integrity and clean personal record;
  • Proficiency with Excel, MATLAB, and financial terminals such as Wind and Bloomberg; knowledge of STATA and R is a plus.
