One billion size FOF, founded in New York, is looking for one FOF analyst to join their SH office. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer relationship management (CRM), preferably in the hedge fund industry, and will be able to help develop and maintain an organized system for managing, tracking and reporting on the firm’s manager prospects. This person must be personable, professional, detail oriented, hardworking, proactive, flexible and enjoy the challenges of working with a team of hedge fund professionals in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the Research team by maintaining a manager focused database:

  • Help identify and evaluate potential managers
  • Assist in generating leads through network, publications and other resources 
  • Coordinate and participate in calls and meetings with potential managers to effectively communicate the firm’s strategy, structure and mechanics
  • Analyze the database, setting queries and targets accordingly using metrics and reporting

Promote productivity by tracking the full sales cycle

  • Document, organize, and report on the allocation pipeline, both communication and relationship maintenance
  • Qualify and score leads through specific characteristics and classifications
  • Interpret and share results on trends, success rates, methodology and prospecting strategies

Learn and demonstrate Prelude’s value proposition
General team support and ad hoc projects

 

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in the broader hedge fund sector (hedge fund / fund-of-funds / institutional allocator / prime brokerage)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Experience in onshore private finance in China highly desirable
  • Experience in a private fund database firm highly desirable
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, both in verbal and written communication
  • Strong Excel and database skills
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platform a plus, but not required
  • Highly personable and professional manner and demeanor
  • Confident communicating with external parties by phone and email
  • Excellent organizational aptitude, time management skills, detail orientation and ability to multi-task
  • Outstanding work ethic and strong interpersonal skills
  • A desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
