Description

Job responsibility
  • Oversight supervision on all vendors/visitors working inside the Hardware Centers, and ensure security procedures & guidelines are adhered to at all times.
  • Plan / Schedule and work closely with OEM vendors (e.g. HP, IBM, SUN) on physical installation, upgrade and break-fix for hardware.
  • Plan / Schedule and work closely with platform groups on firmware refresh / update, OS upgrade, patches and hardware preventive maintenance.
  • Keep in check for any abnormal events such as fault alarms, fault lights, area tidiness, and take appropriate action or escalate if necessary.
  • Provide physical hands-on support for all server hardware (e.g. power-cycle)
  • Engage in new server roll-in (power certification), and decommissioning of sunset hardware / application.  Includes proper disposal if the hardware is deemed unusable.
  • Media tape management which include tape labeling, tape inventory management, tape movement, virtual tape library management and media degaussing.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables within project scope, deadline & budget.
  • Adhere to and support the Standard Information Life Cycle (SILC) process, providing / updating any required documentation.
  • Manage vendor resources in support of BAU activities.
  • Ensure compliance to Citigroup Information Technology Management Policies (CITMP) and Standards.


Qualifications

  • Preferably an undergraduate degree in a technical discipline
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Excellent skills in documenting processes and procedures
  • Ability to handle customer complaints
  • Able to cover shifts if necessary
  • Knowledge and exposure to some of the ISO standards is preferable
