Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international metal concentrates trading company seeking a metal concentrates trader to join their team in Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Responsible for physically trading non-ferrous concentrates including copper, lead, zinc, gold, and silver into the Chinese and Far East markets
  • Develop and manage relationships with concentrates producers and customers
  • Use metals market analysis and insight to identify new business opportunities and inform trading strategies
  • Work closely with other departments (logistics, operations etc.) to ensure a smooth supply chain and high customer service
  • Role reports into Head of Concentrates Trading


Key Qualifications / Experience
  • 5+ years of experience trading non-ferrous metal concentrates (zinc, lead, nickel, copper, aluminium, tin etc.)
  • Positive track record of building relationships and managing accounts in China
  • Excellent knowledge of the base metals markets in Asia, ideally with previous experience in a trading house covering base metal concentrates
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, additional languages would be an advantage
  • Located in Shanghai
