The incumbent will assist in creating and managing relationships with financial Institutions and strengthening correspondent banking relationships by fostering new correspondence banking alliances within his/her assigned geographical area.

Job Requirements

Our client is looking for FI relationship managers who are very familiar with the local China markets and  have a solid technical background mainly in the area of Transaction banking with focus on Trade finance.  The candidates must have a robust knowledge of credit, products (especially Trade Finance) and KYC areas related to  Financial Institutions; more precisely he/she should be able to cover the following: 


  • Offering of tailored Lending, Trade Finance and Cash Management Product to FI customers;
  • Structuring and execution of FI deals ;
  • Ensuring a smooth execution of FI transactions in line with internal approvals and satisfactory documentation by coordinating with other stakeholders (Operations, Legal, Credit…)
  • Knowledge of Treasury Products  is a plus.


  • Processing credit requests and performing annual reviews of credit limit ;
  • Assessment of transactions, identifying credit risks and making necessary recommendation;
  • Monitoring of FI portfolio (clients and facilities) and related credit limits on continues basis; and alerting HO in case of any adverse changes. 

KYC and Due Diligence

  • Maintaining KYC files updated and in line with Regulatory and the bank's requirements  


  • University graduate and must have spent at least 3 years in a reputable international bank in the same position and must have spent  at least 5 years in banking
  • Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and regulations for the Financial Institutions and correspondent banking segment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English and Chinese.
  • Excellent people relationship skills and awareness of risk management concepts and practices.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Products  is a plus.
  • Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations and best practices pertaining to Financial Institution relationships.
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Knowledge of AML laws and regulations.
