Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist

Location: Grenoble, Rhone-Alpes, France

Moody's Analytics Insurance department in Grenoble is seeking a experienced software engineer with a wide functional knowledge to join our team and help build the next generation of insurance regulatory product.

Role/responsibilities:
You will integrate an Agile team located in Grenoble, reporting to the Grenoble Engineering manager. You will be a key contributor to functional discussions with the Product Management Team and UX Designers and insure that the requirements are ready for Engineering team:
  • Understand business requirement and anticipate impacts from short presentations.
  • Provide rough estimates (roadmap, release).
  • Influence the functional design and user experience. Promote consistency and simplicity (of use, of implementation/maintenance).
  • Review/Sign-Off specifications.
  • Hand-over to the Dev/QA team. Build prototypes if required.
  • Help others: functional presentations, support cases, newcomers ramp-up.
  • Contribute to development if required

Master degree in Software Engineering
Strong knowledge of financial sector, bank or insurance, with a focus on regulations.
Good understanding of software architecture and deployment.
Significant experience of development, with ideally an experience in Scripting language, Object Oriented language, Web frameworks, Databases.
Good level in French and English.
