As a Business Aligned Compliance Officer you will report to the Head of Compliance for Macquarie Capital Ireland ("MCI"), and be the dedicated Compliance Officer for the German Branch. This position will offer you an excellent opportunity to further develop your compliance experience in a dynamic, commercial and fast-paced environment. Sitting with the Macquarie Capital business, the role is challenging and requires broad involvement with compliance issues and regular interaction with senior management and executives across Macquarie Capital Ireland and the Risk Management Group in Europe.

You will provide analytical, administrative and advisory support to the Compliance & AML Director based in Ireland as required for all compliance activities throughout the Macquarie entity in Germany. As the dedicated Compliance Officer for the German branch, you will be the first point of contact for advisory support for staff in Germany. Your responsibilities will include conflict identification and management, regulatory change implementation, and the generation of compliance related reporting for the branch. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all risk based reviews and monitoring is in line with local regulatory obligations and internal policies / procedures. You will also manage, in conjunction with the Compliance & AML Director, the relationship with BaFIN and respond to any regulatory correspondence received in the German Branch.

Working closely with the Compliance & AML Director, you will assist with financial crime compliance activities where you will be responsible for updating MCI's financial crime compliance policies and procedures (including the implementation of an annual Financial Crime RCSA process), reviewing financial crime related policies and procedures impacting entity activities and designing and delivering financial crime compliance training.

In addition, you will assist the Regulatory Assurance team in EMEA Risk with any broader EMEA thematic reviews which include the local entity business lines in the scope of the review, providing support with implementation of an annual RCSA process covering the entity's business lines.

You are an experienced compliance professional with at least 3-5 years' compliance advisory experience gained in an investment banking, legal or regulatory environment, within the private side businesses including investment banking, corporate finance and capital markets. You will have a working knowledge of the German capital markets and financial services laws, regulatory environment and products and an interest in gaining exposure to, and working closely with, the underlying business. Good understanding of key regulatory initiatives applicable to the firm such as MIFID and MIFIR particularly important.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and ability to build relationships at all levels will be key to your success. You enjoy working autonomously, can determine priorities and able to deliver results within deadlines. You will also have a pragmatic, commercial approach to risk and compliance whilst achieving desired outcomes.
