The section Group Risk Monitoring coordinates the risk management activities of Deutsche Börse Group. The section assesses and reports all operational, financial and business risks of Deutsche Börse Group (DBG) to enable all executive boards of DBG to monitor their overall risk profile so that developments that could jeopardize the interests of DBG entities are identified at an early stage and suitable countermeasures taken.

Your responsibilities:
• Monitoring of credit, liquidity and market risks to which Deutsche Börse Group is exposed
• Performing regular credit and market VaR calculation, analysing the financial risk situation results and reporting the results
• Assessment of potential financial risk arising from new business, new products, changes in internal procedures or external dependencies
• Maintenance and improvement of the existing qualitative and quantitative financial risk measurement framework
• Day-to-day activities to support the general objectives of the section including administrative tasks

Our requirements:
• Applicants with professional experience
• University degree, preferably in economics, mathematics, engineering or natural sciences
• Financial Risk Management experience including sound knowledge of statistical concepts – especially in the area of credit and liquidity risk
• Experience in banking/securities processing environment including knowledge of securities financing products and derivatives
• Experience with project management and software development projects
• Experience with software requirements analysis, specification, programming and testing
• Experience with relational databases, SQL (preferably Oracle) and MATLAB (preferably Statistics Toolbox)
• Strong analytical skills, creativity, critical thinking, ability to identify problems and propose solutions
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-experts, to see the big picture as well as the detail
• Relevant internships or experience in Risk Management would be an advantage, ideally in an international bank-ing/securities processing environment
• Proficiency in written and spoken German and English
