Our client is a strongly-growing and internationally operating business services firm (B2B), offering a wide spectrum of consulting and digitisation services to its client base. The firm is embarking on an exciting growth path and therefore, it is looking to hire a CFO to take ownership of the finance function. In this position, you will work closely with the high calibre management team. The position is based in Munich.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Setting up and leading a highly efficient finance function (including building, managing and maintaining a finance team)
  • Implementation and optimisation of best-in-class management information systems
  • Reporting accurate financial results to the management and shareholders
  • Setting up and establishing a meaningful controlling function to support decision-making processes for different revenue models
  • Budget planning (monthly, yearly and medium-term) and forecasting
  • Cash and liquidity management as well as working capital improvement
  • Driving the digitisation of the finance function and continuous improvement and optimisation of the finance processes
  • Support of M&A processes as well as post-merger-integrations
  • Go-to person for external advisors such as tax advisors, auditors, lawyers, etc.
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Excellent academic credentials, ideally with a focus on business administration, finance, accounting or controlling
  • Significant relevant work experience in a finance leadership position (e.g. as Finance Director, VP Finance, CFO) either in a fast-growing Mittelstand firm or a PE-backed business, ideally paired with initial experience from a strategy consulting firm
  • Excellent finance skill-set with strong accounting and controlling knowledge
  • An affinity towards IT / digitisation is helpful
  • Dynamic and collaborative team player with a strong hands-on approach, excellent analytical skills, a business partner to the management team and the shareholders
  • Highly motivated to set up up the firm for future success, e.g. by implementing best-in-class processes
  • M&A and PMI experience is beneficial
  • Ability to develop, manage and run finance teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Native German and fluency in English
