Domestic/local Debit Card Schemes Manager (m/f/x)

Position Overview

Summary
The Merchant Solutions team develops and manages products around merchant payment acceptance and card issuance. Especially merchants and merchant platforms that expand globally need alternative payment options that are important in the target countries and in turn increase the complexity of payments for merchants. The team develops solutions for these alternative payment options as well as card payments. As global Card Acceptance Team our focus is to enable relevant card and local debit schemes as a commercial acquirer to our clients. This is including a state-of-the-art payment gateway technology including a seamless UX/CX journey and perfect it with our BIN-Sponsorship offer.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible end-to-end for Deutsche Bank's acceptance products related to all domestic cards (e.g. Girocard in Germany or Carte Bancaire in France), incl. the operating model, financial planning, and regulatory requirements
• Own and drive associated internal processes like Vendor Risk Management, New Product Approval, and db Buyer
• Develop customized offers for enterprise and fintech clients together with the Client Solutions team and contribute to RfPs (Request for proposal).
• Work cross-functional with Deutsche Bank regulatory teams and suppliers to understand existing certification rules (e.g. Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft) and the impact of new regulations (e.g. Pin on Glass)
• Support on new market rollouts, schemes and product features (e.g. SoftPOS)

Background

• You have several years of relevant work experience and understand the business model and value chain of card payments acceptance
• You are familiar with Scrum
• You have experience managing complex projects and can deal with changing contexts and ambiguity
• You are willing to proceed through complex processes and manage several vendors
• You are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing; you are fluent in English and German (both required), additional language skills are welcome (esp. French)
