Our client is an agile multi-sector investor, focused on the DACH region. It invests in Mittelstand companies with an EBIT of EUR0.5m to EUR3m, with the ability to take majority or minority stakes with a discretionary investment horizon. Investment strategies are flexible, and include both MBO and MBIs, creating the best transition from current company leadership. It is an evergreen fund backed by a significant anchor investor. Capital commitments thus far amount to EUR30m. The successful individual will work in origination, execution and portfolio management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the team in seeking investment opportunities
  • Display discernment and commercial judgment in advocating investments. Flexible and creative in seeking the best solution
  • Be in charge of the financial modelling of potential investment opportunities
  • Supervise junior team members
  • Collect financial and market data related to investment opportunities
YOUR PROFILE:
  • M&A experience from a top tier investment bank / consultancy
  • Private equity investing experience in small cap companies
  • Entrepreneurial, seeking creative solutions
  • Analytical, strong financial modelling techniques
  • Communicative and team-oriented
  • Affinity with the Mittelstand
  • Result-oriented, rigorous, creative and able to take decisions
  • The ideal candidate will have the potential to evolve in terms of autonomy and responsibilities
  • Native-standard German language skills in addition to English
