My client, a global leading financial services organization with a strong leadership team, is looking to make the hire of an Senior Legal Counsel contribute and advise on wide range of legal matters in relation to their activities around the globe. If you are a Lawyer, (Senior) Legal Counsel candidate coming from a strong law firm or financial institution, who is looking for a new opportunity in Germany, this is a wonderful opportunity for you!

Your development opportunities:

  • Be in charge of commercial transactions from drafting, managing, negotiating contracts: outsourcing agreements, business customer contracts, IT contracts, supplier & internal agreements etc.
  • Negotiate, review and draft various type of contracts including implementation of legal decisions throughout specific departments of the business
  • Work independently on future-oriented legal and task areas and actively shape developments
  • Provide proactive advice to stakeholders with regards to new German and EU laws or regulations
  • Be responsible for the legal reviews, development of new and the maintenance of existing business processes, guidelines and contractual relationships
  • Advise the business on specific German employment or corporate law matters or disputes

Your background:

  • Experienced as a (Senior) Legal Counsel in financial services sector and/or as a Lawyer in an international law firm, legal management advisory firm; completed second state examination
  • 5-8 years of experience, ideally with 2+ years of experience in a fintech / payment services providing organization
  • Strong commercial skills is a must with high aptitude on managing, drafting and negotiating contracts and engaging with client groups - knowledge or interest to learn payment supervisory regulations (i.e. PSD 2 etc.) would be a plus
  • Enjoy working in a young and innovative environment, engaging in cross-departmental issues on a collaborative manner
  • Fluent in both German & English
