Job Purpose:
  • He/she will be responsible in managing the projects end-to-end in the APAC EQ space that crosses the Cash, D1, Derivatives areas and ensure that the project is executed in the required timeframe, within the specified budget with the highest quality. Responsibilities cover cross-team coordination between Development Group, Business, Infrastructure, and business users across departments (where applicable)
  • In addition, it is expected that all dependencies, issues and key risks are communicated/escalated to the relevant parties. Reporting to the business, global and regional technology management will be a key responsibility
  • The main challenge of this role is to work with various groups within Equities Technology, the business side, infrastructure group and to work on a highly pressured environment across different locations in APAC and where applicable, NAM and EMEA
  • In the duration of the work, he/she is expected to learn the different applications and how it supports the various business processes
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare project schedule assigned and ensure accuracy of dates and resource assignments and allocation and most importantly, internal and external dependencies
  • Identify and understand project issues and facilitate discussions on solutions with the relevant groups. Ensure that all issues are tracked and reported on a timely manner
  • Escalate issues and risks to the relevant parties as necessary
  • Identify and understand project risks and keep track of potential impact to the project in terms of schedule, resources, quality and any regulatory impact
  • Review risks on a regular basis and evaluate if the risks are becoming issues and escalate
  • Prepare regular management reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work with the key business stakeholders to understand the drivers of the projects, business benefits and constraints and take these into account in the plans and in the entire life cycle of the project
  • Arrange/chair meetings to discuss project status and other discussions related to the project
  • Work with users to gain an understanding and an appreciation of current business flows. Fully evaluate desired improvements to this process
  • Discuss impact of changes with all affected development groups
  • Proactively suggest improvements to the process and be willing to discuss these with the Development Groups in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai and India
  • Comply with the Citigroup standards  around Project Management and Program Management, and required deliverables
  • Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Tests
  • Facilitate discussions and drive the resolutions around project issues and drive the mitigating actions around project risks


Technical/Specialist Skills/Competencies:
  • Experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Strong project management background and experience on medium - to large-scale development-related projects
  • Ability to balance technical and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technical and business experts
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Development Groups and business users and sponsors
  • Ability to prioritise and perform work and meet deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate both technical and business issues clearly, succinctly and in a timely manner
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
