Our client is an innovative FinTech company that offers integrated solutions for cross-border payments and FX. The group has raised millions of funding from prominent investors from all over the world and is now looking to set up it’s regional hub in HK. They have shown extraordinary success with incredible business growth cross the APAC region. The jobholder will be the Regional FC for the Greater China Region (less experienced candidates might be considered as SM), reporting into Group Head of Finance in HQ.


  • Lead the Management and Financial accounting of Greater China Region
  • Build the team and migrate key financial operations and processes from HQ while working close with China Office
  • Participate in Senior Management meetings and contribute ideas to drive business growth and meet strategic initiatives  
  • Improve existing accounting processes to achieve automation or better efficiency
  • Support the Group Head of Finance in HQ for the development and execution of the Group’s taxation and other business strategies
  • Ensure Financial regulatory compliance
  • Manage payroll, finance book keeping and other finance operations functions
  • Provide Professional Accounting advise to the business for across Financial Services business lines
  • Maintain financial integrity of the statutory accounts of Hong Kong and China
  • Actively participate in performance reporting and management



  • Accounting/Finance/Commerce/Economics degree holder (or equivalent) with recognized accounting qualification I.e. HKICPA/ACCA/CA etc
  • Minimum 8+ years of total accounting experience in financial services -  with a minimum of 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience in Banking (Big 4 experience a plus but not necessary)
  • Fluent English AND Mandarin, preferably Cantonese as well
  • Experience in consolidating cross border accounts, Financial Due Diligence and dealing with International Tax
  • Knowledge in cross border payment and FX
  • Ability to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in consistent with relevant local and international accounting standards
  • Willingness to take ownerships/ don’t mind doing a bit of ground work
