Our client is a global insurance company listed in the United States. Its business comprises both life and general insurance operations. Multiple products and schemes are crafted for large corporates, midsized commercial and small businesses. Currently it is seeking for a veteran professional to join their APAC team as a core member.


  • Assist on planning and implementing an overall risk management process for the Company
  • Support functional risk assessment which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business
  • Support risk evaluation which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the Company such as costs and legal requirements, and evaluating the Company's previous handling of risks
  • Liaise internally on corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders
  • Manage risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences including the board of directors and business leads
  • Assist to conduct audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors
  • Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the Company



  • A degree in Actuarial Studies is a MUST
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in risk, audit or compliance functions of financial institutions, with sound knowledge of operational processes and systems of life insurers
  • Solid understanding of life insurance regulations, operational and information risk management practices and methodologies
  • Proven ability to drive changes, influence senior stakeholders and resolve conflicts
  • Excellent communication, analytical, report writing and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Proficiency of spoken and written English and Chinese
