Job Purpose (Job Summary):
To analyze business needs for efficient and cost-effective software systems and/or business processes and to facilitate the design, testing and implementation of systems in accordance with company methodology.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Gather and analyze information on existing business processes in order to make recommendations that seek to improve business systems and processes.
Provide business analysis during all phases of a project as required, including but not limited to:
- Analyze and document requirements for enhancements to systems and / or business processes. May involve investigation of third party vendors or systems.
- Design and clearly document solutions/recommendations to business problems.
- Lead reviews of requirements and designs with relevant stakeholders to obtain agreement and sign off of proposals.
- Participate in creating estimates of cost and effort along with project implementation plans to enable prioritization and timely implementation.
- Assist and / or co-ordinate user testing, ensuring issues are resolved in pragmatic and appropriate manner.
- Assist the design and implementation of ongoing support arrangements for system delivered.
Oversee and execute regional Project Governance work
Provide production support to critical business applications and interfaces
Work as part of a project team, reporting progress and escalating issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful completion of projects / reviews.
Adhere to standards set by the Invesco project methodology.
Take a leading role from time to time on small projects or specific elements of larger projects.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a role developing the skills required for the business analyst role. This will include carrying out business process reviews and/ or production of business requirements.
Familiar with front and back office systems of asset management industry, particularly knowledge in CRD, Aladdin, FMC, Portia, Omgeo CTM, FIX protocol
Experience in supporting BAU of front and back office systems for at least 2-3 years
Competency in SQL is essential.
Experience with programming and programming languages like Visual Basic or Python a big plus.
Experience in creating detail costs/benefit analysis.
Experience of project management tools and techniques.

Graduate or Graduate Calibre in Information Systems related discipline.
Formal business analysis training and/or qualification preferred but optional.
