The Hospital Authority Provident Fund Scheme, one of the largest ORSO retirement schemes in Hong Kong, is seeking to recruit a high-caliber individual in the Investment Team to support and execute all investment idea-promoting, monitoring and analytical matters of the Scheme. Reporting to the Investment Team Head, Analyst/ Senior Analysts manage investment and other matters of their responsible investment portfolios of different asset classes outsourced to external investment managers.

About the job:

  • Research/ Evaluate/ Monitor investment managers’ strategies and portfolios
  • Risk/ Attribution/ Transaction/ Behavioural analysis (Quantitative and Qualitative) at fund and portfolio levels for idea-promoting, reporting and monitoring purposes
  • Investment manager Search/ Monitoring/ Review, including due diligence processes
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties (e.g. investment managers, custodian and various service providers/ external vendors) on various matters, including investment control and compliance
  • Contribute to enhancements of the existing investment management and reporting framework
  • Carry out ad-hoc projects and other works as may be required

Requirements on applicants:

  • University degree with at least 4 years’ experience gained in multi-asset investment/ market/ quantitative risk analytics or portfolio/ performance analytics role or similar investment related job functions in multi-asset strategies and/ or fund of funds
  • Possess intellectual curiosity, proactive by nature and demonstrated interest in financial markets
  • Versatile in understanding and presenting complex concepts in easy-to-understand way verbally and in written form
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills with the ability to explore feasible solutions for open-ended researches
  • Strong computing skills, with the ability to parse, process and analyze large unstructured data-sets
  • Experienced and highly proficient in modelling ideas and concepts into easy-to-follow Excel
  • Experienced with compiling business-standard Powerpoint
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Good standard of written English; Mandarin is an advantage
  • Team player in collegial and result-oriented working environment
