Within Global Markets (‘GM’), the Wholesale Digital Office (‘WDO’) team has responsibility for identifying and executing new technology-led revenue opportunities across the bank’s trading, capital markets and investment banking businesses. About the Role

The position is permanent, full-time and based in our Hong Kong office in IFC2. You will work as a generalist across all of the WDO’s focus areas and will have the opportunity to specialise in specific projects and technologies as your skills evolve. You’ll work closely with teams across Nomura including Global Markets trading desks, investment bank, corporate functions, etc…

Key Experience & Skills   
 

About You

An ideal candidate will offer the following:
•Keen observer and practitioner of the major technology trends that are impacting financial services
•3-5 years of experience in a technology company in a product-centric role or in a tech-related role in a financial services company
•Experience in strategy and execution in one or more of our focus areas:•Digital Assets & cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin, tokenised securities and the ecosystem that surrounds them
•Artificial intelligence – Emerging AI tools to support trading, investing and market making at a global scale
•Digital banking – Digital-first financial services across wealth management, SME services, etc…
•ESG – Environmentally sustainable and socially responsible financial services

•Experience in a fintech start-up or a management consultant with substantial tech experience would also be considered
•Fluency in written and spoken English (Mandarin or Japanese is a plus)

You have outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievement, and can withstand the rigors of a rapidly changing, demanding and rewarding environment. You will be confident and comfortable working with an experienced team of senior leaders across the Wholesale Digital office, business heads and Nomura’s global leadership team.
