Team Background


The Asia Pacific Client Platform & Controls team is part our wider J.P. Morgan Asset Management Client Services & Business Platform organisation.


The team is responsible for supporting the Funds and Institutional Client Services and Sales teams providing oversight and liaison across controls, governance, technology and strategic client initiatives.


 


Key Responsibilities:


 


Initiative Leadership/Management




  • Managing several deliverables simultaneously



  • Working with business stakeholders to help define and drive the strategic agenda



  • Delivering appropriate documentation and governance to support various initiatives


Analysis & Problem Solving




  • Supporting and conducting clear analysis, logical structuring, and creative problem solving on critical issues



  • Perform data analysis and prepare metrics reports and dashboards for management



  • Assessing risks, costs, and benefits of alternative decisions and approaches



  • Designing processes and tools that yield sustainable improvement



  • Proactively identifying and addressing risks and opportunities



  • Monitor client services activities according to procedures, conduct sample checks and document testing results



  • Partner with Technology in requirement analysis, system rollout and post implementation support


Communication & Relationships




  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders



  • Communicating recommendations to impacted stakeholders



  • Clearly articulating initiative goals to stakeholders and collaborators



  • Proactively escalating critical issues with a focus on resolution



  • Work with global client services teams to align procedures and best practices


Risk & Controls Mindset  




  • Identify control gaps, agree remediation plans with stakeholders and drive execution



  • Arrange training for Sales and Client Services for policies, procedures and best practices



  • Support Risk control self assessments (RCSA) including control analysis, sample tests, evidence collection and stakeholder communication



  • Support issues investigation and facilitate internal and external communication

Qualifications:




  • Understanding of business and management functions in Asset Management and/or related financial services industries



  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to maintain good stakeholder relationships



  • Proactive in identifying and addressing critical risks and issues



  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines



  • Comfortable with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands



  • Highly accurate with attention to detail



  • Support and conduct clear analysis, logical structuring and creative problem solving



  • Demonstrate maturity and confidence to work under pressure



  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Cantonese. Fluency in Mandarin preferred



  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint and Access. Knowledge of macro, database, Qlikview, sharepoint would be an advantage
