The Associate Non Personal Expenses (NPE) Control role will report to the Regional NPE Controller within Cost Management & Analytics of the Finance division. Non Personal Expenses covers the associated costs for Occupancy, Technology, Market Data Services, Travel & Entertainment, Professional Fees and Others direct costs.
The Associate NPE Controller will assist with improving the financial control of the NPE cost base and continuing process improvements.
The role will include but not limited to the following activities:
•Assisting with the regional NPE Budget Planning and Forecasting process
•Full financial management of the regional NPE cost base, supervising India offshore support in proper accounting and booking of all NPE expenses, and indirect cost allocation process
•Management reporting and analytical review of the regional NPE direct and indirect cost base, excluding Personal Expenses
•Prepare ad hoc or deep dive analysis/trending on NPE spend and understand the context and drivers
•Assisting with all corporate indirect allocations to front office business and Cross Border to other regions
•Being involved in regional and global projects to improve MI reporting processes and analytics
Key Experience & Skills
•Preferred - Degree/ (Part) Qualified accountant with financial and management accounting background
•Previous experience in a banking, financial or commercial environment would be highly advantageous
•Strong client/customer service orientation, consulting, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills with the ability to handle difficult situations
•Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
•A power user of Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint. Acumen and demonstrated knowledge to use RPA tool will be advantageous
•Comfortable working in a matrix organization with ability to act as a change agent. Organized, detail oriented, good follow-up skills. Ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
•Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with and proven track record in process improvement.
•Prior use of MIS tools such as Essbase, Qlikview, Tableau, and Power BI are desirable
•Ability to understand large data and translate it into MIS information that drives decision making
•Proven track record of process re-engineering leading to efficiencies and automation
•Someone with an inquisitive mind-set, not only looking to produce the output but question the overall process and look for further efficiencies
•Detail oriented and result driven without compromising control
