Functional Overview   

Control and Oversight Team (C&O) is an independent function within Asia ex-Japan (AEJ) Finance which aims to formulate best practices to enhance the control environment within the finance division. Partnering with Finance management, the team offers effective and practical solutions to address identified key operating risks as well as continuous monitoring and identification of other risks and issues.

This dynamic, extremely high profile role will provide the right candidate with exposure across all areas of the firm across Asia and access to different levels of management.

Job description   
•Work closely with Finance controllers to identify and assess risks in business operations and propose actions to mitigate them
•Help identify relevant risks and areas of potential weaknesses together with proposed solutions for time save and efficiency
•Work with various teams across the firm including Operational Risk Management and Internal Audit to enhance the control environment of the company as a whole
•Manage Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) process for Finance and escalate issues where necessary
•Perform ad hoc tasks and requests from senior management including project management in global projects
•Collaborate with cross divisional/regional counterparts on risk related tasks/projects and provide guidance on control gaps within new Finance projects
•Develop continuous understanding of finance system flows to detect gaps and challenge existing controls

Key Experience & Skills   
•A dynamic, control minded and hardworking person who is comfortable with new technology with at least 3 to 5 years’ of practical experience from the financial sector
•Self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving and influential skills
•Strong communication skills, both written and spoken; and good team player
•Proactive and the ability to multi-task and is confident to challenge the norm
•Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel is preferred
