Job description   

Instinet Broker Dealer Solutions Business (BD) provides professional trading software platforms to broker dealers. The platform includes an Execution Management System (Newport 3) with connectivity to exchanges, brokers and their pools, access to trading algorithms (Experts), trading analysis tools (Insight) and other functionalities. The position is within the trading operations team which covers technical support to the client. We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team based in Hong Kong for the Asia region.

The successful applicant is required to:
•Manages client queries/requests on the phone via email.
•Troubleshoot and diagnose issue as raised by clients and their application teams.
•Manages/schedules production/UAT release and implementation.
•Participates in Algo testing, work closely with Algo team to troubleshoot and to understand the behaviour for different Algo strategies.
•Liaises with clients, developers, team members in other regions.

Key Experience & Skills   

•University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
•Knowledge of Asian cash equity markets with Algo trading support experience is advantageous
•Strong communication and interpersonal skill
•Practical experience in UNIX and FIX protocol
•Experiences on scripting for troubleshooting, automation and monitoring.
•Excellent application and system problem-solving skills and able to prioritize tasks
•Shift work and holiday support is required.
