We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Associate Director, Business Management Hong Kong.

Principal responsibilities

  • Coordinate with key functions that support HSBC Securities Services business in Hong Kong to ensure a high standard of service, responsiveness and value for money
  • Work closely with change and optimisation programmes that span across the divisions of Securities Services, driving a culture of continuous improvement so that Securities Services can improve the productivity of its operations and enhance its competitiveness
  • A key deliverable will be proper governance of the various Securities Services committees within Global Banking and Markets. This will be to allow the business to be run coherently, under appropriate authorities and be in synchrony with one another
  • Support a properly governed business that recognises risks of its work and manages change effectively
  • Represent the Hong Kong business in key Group initiatives, including Financial Crime Risk, Client Assets and People
  • Deliver returns and reports for both internal and external purposes whilst collaborating with stakeholders
  • Lead the Business Continuity and Business Information Risk Programmes in a systematic and focused manner

  • Understanding of the HSBC Group structure and familiar with the Securities Services business in the context of Global banking and Markets
  • Familiar with the changing regulatory and competitive landscape pertaining to the banking industry
  • Sharp business acumen, management of financials, ability to make and influence tactical decisions
  • Experience in operational, change management and control roles
  • Excellent planning skills and keen sense of prioritisation
  • A determined, can do attitude that inspires others to the same
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and able to influence at all levels of the business
  • A networker who can leverage this to the best result for Securities Services
  • A strong knowledge in running SharePoint will be an advantage
