POSITION OVERVIEW

An opportunity exists for a Business Analyst to join a Tier 1 investment banking client within the Operational Risk and Regulatory Control team to work on development of regulatory reporting infrastructure. The role sits within a change the bank function.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working as a Business Analyst with the Operational Risk & Regulatory Control change team
  • Work to develop new regulatory reports including identifying sources of data and data transformation requirements
  • Gather and analyse information in relation to processes and requirements
  • Analyse and document business processes and requirements
  • Use knowledge of subject matter and system capabilities to convert business needs into functional designs
  • Work in conjunction with the technical/IT teams in order to assist solution design
  • Ensure the solutions align with requirements and that they are efficient, consistent and scalable
  • Work to understand the impact of proposed changes and develop guidance and communications for senior management and peer group
  • Supporting and participate in testing activities
  • Apply best practice concepts and challenge business where required in order to drive solutions
  • Manage stakeholder expectations

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Extensive experience in a change the bank function within financial services, preferably investment baking
  • Experienced working within an operational and risk control team in relation to regulatory control
  • Prior experience in the development of regulatory reports and data transformation is essential
  • Background in the development of redesigning reporting structure in order to satisfy regulatory requirements for regulators
  • Knowledge of data transformation processes
  • Experience in a data capacity - knowledge of data sourcing and transformation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to indirectly manage multiple teams of resources delivering on the relevant initiative
