We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Analyst, Chief Control Office, Asia Pacific .

Principal responsibilities

  • Support the pillar in producing some reports for a cross business review
  • Undertake a review of processes to streamline report preparation and increase the efficiency of the process through the use of near shore resources.
  • Work collaboratively with the Regions to ensure a consistent global approach is developed which meets the needs of the business
  • Provide support to Global Banking and Markets Asia Pacific Chief Control Office senior management in ensuring the appropriate control structure is in place and that control issues that have been highlighted are addressed appropriately
  • Develop deep network across the First and Second Line to deliver results
  • Ensure excellent communication between Global Banking and Markets Asia Pacific Chief Control Office and the regions

  • Educated to undergraduate or postgraduate degree level in Accountancy, Finance or related field.
  • Strong financial background and proven ability in analytical reasoning, including ability to contextualise financial data into business activities and conclusions.
  • A broad understanding of Investment Banking Products and Markets combined with an understanding of key Risk issues impacting Global Banking and Markets business
  • Non essential but advantageous would be an understanding of HSBC and Global Banking and Markets structures, processes and objectives.
  • Broad knowledge of the external environment (regulatory, political, competitors etc.
  • High level of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear language.
