Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) is Macquarie Group's funds management business. It is a full-service asset manager and is divided into three business divisions:

  • Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA)
  • Macquarie Investment Management (MIM)
  • Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions (MSIS).

MAM offers a diverse range of capabilities and products including infrastructure and real asset management (MIRA), securities investment management (MIM) and structured access to funds, equity-based products and alternative assets (MSIS). MAM has been managing assets for pension funds, institutions and retail investors since 1980 in Australia and 1929 in the US (through Delaware Investments). Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) manages a range of private-equity style investment funds focusing primarily on infrastructure and real estate. In particular, MIRA is recognised globally as the leading manager of infrastructure investment funds with a broad portfolio of investments across all major investment markets. Its client base primarily comprises global pension and superannuation funds, but also includes institutional and sovereign investment funds. MIRA is the largest manager of infrastructure and real assets in the world with ~A$ 136 billion in assets under management across 26 countries through 45 funds as at September 2016.

We are looking to recruit a Business Analyst / Executive to join the MIRA Investors Solutions Group based in Hong Kong. In this role you will work in a fast paced, challenging environment where you will be exposed to activities associated with fund raising, investor relations and business development.

Your responsibilities will include:

Investor Relations:
  • Support Investor Relationship Managers (RMs) to design and execute a proactive investor relations program
  • Support RMs for ongoing interaction and communication between MIRA and its clients
  • Develop and maintain relationship with small and medium sized investors
  • Ensure quarterly fund performance updates are communicated to all clients
  • Prepare and compile tailored responses to clients qualitative and quantitative questions and questionnaires, including annual surveys and operational DDQs
  • Prepare proper RFPs requested by clients and communicate with them
  • Preparation of marketing and investor relations materials for internal and external use
  • Work with the Fund teams for investors queries and requests
  • Manage the CRM system on investor information, fund raising status, etc.
  • Support product road-shows and related follow-ups
  • Support new product development initiatives
  • Work with MIRA central team for ISG operational matters

Key Requirements:
  • Be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, proactive and able to deliver against challenging targets with limited supervision and
  • Have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written English and Mandarin
  • Be a team player;
  • Have tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline;
  • Preferably have at least 2~5 years' experience of capital raising, client support, investment banking or infrastructure/real estate sector with hands on experience in M&A activities
  • Have a certain level of understanding in private equity investment structures, including documentation (LPA, subscription docs, side letters) and fee arrangements (management fee, performance fee, etc.)
  • Have PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Bloomberg skills; and
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and execute them with a sense of urgency
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated with ability to work both independently and in a large team setting
  • Highest levels of personal and professional integrity
