As the Business Change Manager at Schroders, you will report to the APAC Head of Investment Change and responsible for defining requirements and delivering improvements to Investment’s operational platform. This includes analysing business processes and workflows to identify any gaps, potentials efficiencies and best practices, and design target processes and workflows to support the strategic vision of Investment. You will work closely with senior management, asset class specialists and IT Business Consultancy to design, agree and communicate any proposed changes, and work within a wider team to deliver the changes or handover to a separate delivery team for implementation.

Key Responsibilites:


  • To provide support to the Aladdin programme, by owning a business analysis stream in region and working closely with the global team to provide global comprehensive solutions to the investment functions within the programme.

Process and Workflow

  • To fully capture and define accurate requirements from the business through an understanding of business processes and environment
  • The understanding to use the appropriate methods and tools (i.e. Workshops, process flows, Visio) to achieve requirements capture and definition
  • To produce a gap analysis of requirements vs current capabilities
  • To produce clear, concise and unambiguous requirements
  • To highlight priorities and critical requirements
  • To highlight impacts to the business and clients
  • To identify where simple changes can be made to produce significant improvements

Business Analysis

  • Develop a close working relationship with front office business stakeholders in order to determine functionality gaps and enhancement requirements.
  • To analyse data and data files to understand what information is received or required
  • To not be constrained by current environments and be able to recommend alternative solutions
  • Provide input into strategic product selection and target operating model definition
  • To help users define user acceptance testing criteria and assist the user testing process

Project Management

  • Manage and maintain documents, project tasks, issues and risks log via SharePoint site
  • Process mapping and design of related functions in a standardized format
  • To identify risks, issues and weaknesses
  • To identify key timings, dependencies, interfaces and human/technology interactions
  • To work with IT and business to coordinate resources and implement proposed solutions
  • Take initiative and develop creative solutions for solving problems
  • Analyse and summarize findings across all regions where applicable
