Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Manager.

In this role, you will

  • Oversight and Management of day to day activities of the middle office functions
  • Lead projects and perform analysis as requested, particularly the middle and back office strategy on system infrastructure and operating model
  • Support business growth including new products, new funds launch, new instruments 
  • Optimize existing process and enhance the overall efficiency of department
  • Develop strong and strategic relationship with all stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance of Global Standards, Financial Crime Compliance and Regulatory Compliance initiatives
  • Enhance synergy and efficiency
  • Share the best practice across teams
  • Ensure team members are well informed of all relevant updates
  • Enhance compliance culture

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • ​Knowledge of middle office operation functions, including but not limiting to investment operations, client operations, transfer agent, investment restrictions, derivatives middle office and data management
  • Knowledge of back office functions, including trade support, corporate action, fund administration, data maintenance, reconciliation and custody
  • Understanding of market regulations and industry practices
  • Effective communication skills
  • Project management skill
  • Well organized and ability to prioritize
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Team player
