The Company Our Client is renounced PRC Real Estate Conglomerate with a net value of around 130B RMB. Our client is at the stage of established a fund platform as well as launching a REIT, they are hence currently looking for the first pew top management staff and this particular post is for the Chief Operating Officer


  • Act as the Chief Operating Officer for the REIT and Fund businesses in Hong Kong.  
  • Set up business processes, procedures and policies through in-depth evaluation, and execution of continuous improvements in compliance with standard practices and quality control.
  • Lead and control strategic project planning process, and resources allocations.
  • Reports directly to CEO.
  • In charge of operation, compliance, risk and finance duties.
  • Partner up with the CEO and involve in Product & Platform Management responsible for the platform.
  • Coordinate local and regional fund business / product development initiatives and projects.
  • Oversight the product landscape and operational platform.
  • Work with the CEO and set up development strategy for the fund platform.   
  • Act as the point of contact and Provider Manager for external Service Providers.
  • Develop corporate governance and control framework (e.g management meetings and reporting, cross border business framework, operational incident management recovery and resolution planning, regulatory reporting, outsourcing oversight, trading framework).  



  • Degree or above in any related area.
  • Industry experience of at least 10 years in Operation, risk or compliance in asset / fund management, ideally somebody who is currently a COO or has taken such post before.
  • Candidate must be eligible to be SFC type 9 Responsible Officer, exist type 9 RO will have an advantage.
  • Knowledge of REIT operation, compliance, finance and IT. Understanding that this requirement is generally too board, our client is only expecting the candidate’s expertise covering a few of the above requirement and substitute the others with external professional service provider.
  • Solid understanding of operational processes and investment management applications.
  • Understanding of industry relevant regulatory- and legal-aspects
  • Able to work independently.
  • Flair for finance with the ability to interpret product- as well as business-related operating figures.  
  • Conceptual and analytical thinking.   
  • Fluent in Mandarin (both verbal and written) is necessary.
