Chief Operating Officer, TTS Asia
- Strategy and Development - together with the TTS ExCo formulate and execute the business strategy to ensure long and short-term goals, targets, and budgets are in place to support execution.
- Financial Management
  • Support delivery of the financial commitments and drive a balanced scorecard
  • Facilitate the growth of the underlying business drivers - maximizing returns
  • Coordinate the technology budget and subsequent prioritization of technology asks for TTS AP technology investments. Evaluate and track commercialization of new products and solutions
  • Drive annual expense targets and initiatives
- Chair and Manage Complex/New Products & Solution and Client Deal reviews. Lead NPAC engagement for TTS Asia
- People and Organizational Development
  • Establish a dynamic management and communication process between in-country management team and regional/global partners with shared goals and vision
  • Partner with the TTS Asia Region Head to drive functional aspects related to the organizational needs i.e. HR, Finance, Compliance and Legal
  • Align organizational structure and design with transformationalagenda
  • Drive training and development programs to enable employees alignment with new technologies, ways of thinking and embed culture of trust, transparency and accountability
- Communication, culture and collaboration - lead initiatives to further enhance culture and collaboration by breaking silos and working horizontally across the organization
- Liaison with Key Partners
  • Work horizontally across the organization and with key business partners: Operations, Technology, Client Delivery, Coverage / Sales groups, Compliance, Risk, and Audit
  • Establish appropriate forums and joint plans with these key partners to achieve goals
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with the global business heads, TTS country heads, Citi Asia business/functional leaders as well as in-country business leaders
- Operational, Portfolio Risk and Regulatory Relationships
  • Manage the Region In-Business Risk and Control team across Asia Pacific
  • Responsible for the overall control environment including operational and product risk
  • Ensure the highest standards of compliance and control: review compliance, AML and regulatory framework to ensure adherence to policies and regulations
  • Review portfolio risk at regular frequency with key stakeholders
- Responsible to establish and maintain Operating calendar as well as creating a set of monitoring mechanisms to allow on-going evaluation of progress vs targets. Prepare materials and presentations to support Business reviews, management meetings and other events and forums as required.
- COVID-19 - Lead and implement health and safety measures, "return to site" policies and operational, risk/control processes changes driven by environment & client needs.
- Support TTS Asia Region Head in managing and driving the TTS business in Asia
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a large and complex business
  • An accomplished business manager who understands the basics of P&L management and has the ability to motivate business and team performance
  • Experience across different geographies and products preferred - including within a country desirable
Skills:
  • Recognized for his/her execution, strategic analysis and negotiation / influencing skills
  • Good financial acumen and highly articulate
  • Strong relationship builder at multiple levels of the organization
  • Proven partnership and collaboration skills
Qualifications:
  • MBA preferred
  • 12-15 years' experience in transaction banking and/or operational environment
  • Understanding of risk framework
Competencies:
  • Ability to work with multiple organizations and stakeholders including senior management
  • Exceptional strategic planning with ability to conceptualize and execute on the business vision
  • 25% travel required
