Job Description

The job holder carries one of the most critical functions of the Bank, ensuring key AML/FCC risks are managed effectively and timely. He or she reports directly to the COO of the Bank and have direct access to senior management of the Bank.
We are looking for an exceptional individual to work with senior management to manage and minimize client risk exposures. He or she will benefit from extensive and wide ranging exposure to AML/FCC issues; developing organizing and managerial skills as well as significant exposure to senior management.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all high risk clients, events and transactions are identified, tracked, and reviewed with senior management in the Local Client Committee (LCC).
  • Ensure the risks are properly evaluated and materials are prepared for discussion in LCC.
  • Track all LCC decisions to ensure closure and escalate all overdue actions to management in a timely manner.
  • Work with other regional counterparts to ensure clients risks impacting multiple booking centers are reviewed and assessed jointly.
  • Work closely with Group PvB Compliance and relevant senior stakeholders to prepare materials for discussion at Group Client Committee.
  • Ensure client risk escalations are done in accordance to internal policies and guidelines.
  • Drive continuously to streamline the internal processes.


Qualifications and Skills

  • University Degree with relevant experience in banking / financial institutions
  • Minimum of 5 years AML/FCC experience preferred
  • Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to analyze issues from point-of-views of various stakeholders and identify potential risks.
  • Ability to work independently and work with senior managers of the Bank, Front Office, Compliance and Financial Crime Risk
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager role
